Severe thunderstorms will likely be much of the outlook area tonight, with damaging straight line winds and tornadoes being the primary risks. A squall line was expected to develop over east Texas and sweep across the region tonight. Wind gusts with the line could reach 80 mph or more. Isolated storms that develop ahead of the squall line could also produce tornadoes and damaging winds as they race northeast.
